A trust is only as good as its funding

Felix has seen too many signed trusts that held nothing, because the house and the accounts were never moved into them. So the plan isn’t finished, in his view, until the deed is recorded and each bank has its letter.

For families with a child who gets SSI or Medicaid, he writes the special needs trust and the letter of intent with the parents, and sends grandparents the wording for their own plans.

He reads every plan the firm drafts before it reaches the client, and runs the three-year reviews.
